Cerrillos Whole House Remodel

Project Description

Our client's vision for this complete remodel was to take this ‘tired and neglected’ property and restore it into a center of warmth, charm, comfort, and rustic elegance. Our team was able to completely reconfigure the living room, master suite, kitchen, and main entrance to give out client the look and feel they desired.

Our collaborative relationship with our client during the remodel process allowed us to share ideas, come up with solutions, and exceed the goals we had set for the outcome of this home, earning us the Excellence in Remodeling Award from Home Builders Showcase.

The Story

Our clients, a couple from Southern Connecticut purchased the property off Highway !4, approximately 7 miles from the town of Cerrillos. The husband continues to work in and manage his Engineering Consulting firm with locations in the east, spending part of his time in Santa Fe and part at his offices in Connecticut and Pennsylvania while his retired wife maintains their properties in and around Santa Fe, enjoying her horses and riding through the magnificent hills and canyons surrounding their enchanting New Mexico property.

From the client

Our Goal was to take a ‘tired and neglected’ property possessing ‘potential’ and having it restored into a center of warmth, charm, comfort, and a ‘feel’ speaking ‘rustic elegance’. Fabuwallous showed us just how it could be done – then did it! Our collaborative relationship with them and continual sharing of ideas throughout this project proved the Fabuwallous team to be more than just Contractors – but Confidantes and Partners as well… Goal Met! Renovation

The CERILLO house renovation, inspired by a rustic Spanish theme, seeks to radiate warmth and rustic elegance. Each room, including the kitchen and living room combines simplicity with sophisticated Spanish charm.
This rustic Spanish-themed living room renovation boasts an ethnic southwest sofa and matching carpet, a traditional kiva fireplace, and French doors that bathe the room in natural light. The unique Granada floor tiles and wood ceiling tiles add to the room's authenticity, creating a harmonious blend of rustic elegance and Spanish charm.
In the kitchen, white oak cabinets and high stool chairs contrast with the white walls, while a gray mid-age oval faucet adds a vintage touch. The skylight, framed by a wood beam, enhances the rustic Spanish charm with natural light.
